Agenda creates multiple (two?) notes when creating note for event

What I did: Click on an event in the right timeline view and then choose „Create new note linked to this event“ (translated from German, might be slightly different in English)

What happened: Agenda creates two notes with multiple Agenda Deep Links apparently attached to the event (There were none before)

What I expected: Agenda to create one empty note

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc): This happens only on my iPad (Air with M1) running iPadOS 26.5, on the current version of Agenda 23.1. On Mac and iPhone it works as expected.

Thanks for the detailed report and screenshot. That does look like a bug.

A couple of things that would help us narrow it down: does it happen every time you create a note from an event on the iPad, or only with certain events? And is it specific to events in a particular calendar, or any event? We’ll take a look.

Hi Drew,

just tested your questions: Happens with every event, regardless of in which calendar. Also happens with reminders (Create a note with this reminder).

Thanks Tobi, that’s exactly what we needed to know. Since it happens with every event and every reminder on the iPad, it sounds like a clear bug on our side rather than anything to do with a particular calendar. We’ll dig into why it’s creating the second note and the extra deep links, and get it fixed.

Kind regards,
Drew
