It would be a big help if I could link to folders (via menu command or drag-and-drop from the file system). I often have folders for my projects on the desktop, and would like to tie my notes to them.
You can in fact do exactly that, by holding the Control key while dropping a file it should insert a link to the file instead of attach the file itself. Of course one thing to keep in mind is that the link will then only work on devices where the file is also accessible at the location of the url.
