Agenda keeps asking me to Update every time I open it

What I did: Opened Agenda (either on macOS or iOS)

What happened: The attached window pops up and says “Update Agenda to Latest Version. One of your synced devices uses a newer version of agenda that is incompatible with the version on this mac…”

What I expected: To just use agenda since I have updated to the newest version in the App Store and on the website.

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):

When I press “Update” on the above window, it says Agenda is up to date but continues to ask every time I quit and reopen Agenda.

The issue is happening on macOS and iOS. Agenda version 16.1 (261)

I just noticed that I was told to update to the Beta to address this issue so I will try that on both iOS and macOS now and see if that solves the issue.

Updating to Agenda version 17.0 on the Mac solved the issue. I will mark this as the solution so hopefully others can learn from this.
