Reminders generated by Agenda store backlinks in the wrong place

A small one, hopefully easy to fix.

When I generate a reminder from within an Agenda note, the link to that note gets stored in the “Notes” section instead of the “URL” section of the reminder. This makes the link non-clickable on iOS.

Would it be a big change to fix that?

This has come up before. I can’t remember why it’s a problem, but a workaround is to use GoodTask as a front end to your iOS reminders.

Alas, a bug/limitation by Apple, that we have flagged but not yet seen any changes. You’ll find more details here as well as how you can put pressure on Apple fixing this annoyance:

URL field and Reminders

You will find the detailed answer here, but basically because Apple has a bug where the URL that we in fact do set in the url field of the reminder created by Agenda, is completely ignored and doesn’t appear in the Reminders app. We ask everybody to communicate to Apple that they should fix this by filing a feedback items: Update: Unfortunately no changes were made by Apple in macOS11 and iOS14 in this area.
