Is there an option for quick entry? Hot key that is always availabe from anywhere, even outside the Agenda? I am migrating completely away from “Things 3” (Agenda has E2EE syncing!) where I got used to the quick entry. I guess there is “apple shortcuts”, but I’m more of a have it builtin to the application. Besides, shortcuts are usually never stable enough for me.
If not, I would like to officially make a feature request. It could place these new entries into that special project “inbox”.
There is no global hot key for this at the moment, no. Shortcuts and the x-callback-url scheme are the closest you can get today, and I understand that isn’t what you are after.
Quick entry is on our list, and it is one I want to get to. It came up a lot in the feature poll as well. Your point about the Inbox being the natural destination for it is a good one, that is exactly what the Inbox is there for.
Thanks for the feedback, we’ll take it along.
About the E2EE, just to be clear, it sits on top of Apples Advanced Data Protection (ADP). To get the E2E protection, you need to have that activated.
If you do have it activated, and want to move to E2E sync, turn sync to off, and remove the cloud data when it asks you if you want that. Then switch to the encrypted sync.
