Just an idea … on MacOS would it be possible for the first item in the dropdown list that appears when creating an action to be highlighted. e.g. if I type \ch the dropdown list appears with checklist at the top, but it’s not highlighted, which entails another keystroke. Just wondering if the first one in the list which seems likely to be the one required, could be pre-highlighted to save that keystroke.

@mekentosj unrelated to the original issue: what is the “check-all” menu item supposed to do? It apparently has no effect.
It should check all unchecked checklist items of the list the cursor is in when you invoke the action
