"Normal" search within project?

Hi,

I’m a little bit confused on how to search for text within a project. In Notion, Apple Notes, Safari, TextEdit, etc… I can just do command-f and search for a string like “camping trip” and it will highlight that string in the document and I can do command-g to find subsequent results. In Agenda it seems like typing a “camping trip” does a search for “camping” and “trip” as separate tags and shows me a list of notes to filter.

If I search for something like “create music website” and pick one of the notes it filters, I get things like “Recreate xyz recipe” with “create” highlighted which isn’t what I want.

Is it possible to just search for text in a project?

Thanks!

Yes, it is possible:

  • Do a search. Note that you can click on each token to say if it is “required” (like an AND) or “optional” (like an OR). You an also use quotes to require multiple words (phrase)
  • In the search field, click on “Filter Notes”. This causes it to apply the search to the list of notes you have (eg project notes)
  • You can now click a note to see the hits. Click multiple times to go through the various matches in the note, or use the “Find Next” command or shortcut.

Hope that helps!

Kind regards,
Drew
