Linking to webpage not working

I just can’t link anything to an external source. I select the word/s I want to add a link to and, as soon as I click the “link” symbol, the selected word stops being so and the link is not created.

Just to confirm: you are on iOS, and you select a word, and you tap the link button, type in the URL, and the link doesn’t work?

That’s it… I’ve tried to attach a screen recording of the steps I’m taking, just just in case I’m doing something wrong, but I’m not allowed for being new user :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I didn’t tell you I’ve been having this problem since I updated my ipad to ipadOS last week

Can you check whether this is still an issue in the 8.0.1 update from this morning?
