The standard Calender as well as other CalenderApps offer a field „URL“ to every Calender entry.
When I link an Agenda-entry to the calender-entry. then an agenda://…-url is added to the „notes“ of the calender entry, not to the url. I find myself moving the url from notes to URL… why does Agenda not put the URL to URL field directly?
Am I missing a configuration, or is there a good reason for this behaviour?
I’m afraid you have hit on a long term beef we have with Reminders. We have been trying for many years to get it to insert a URL in the URL field, but it hasn’t been possible due to bugs in Reminders and/or not exposing the field in their SDK for developers.
Perhaps they have fixed it this year…we will look into it.
(If you are seeing this functionality in other apps, it is most likely that they are from Apple, and using private functions, or — like Fantastical — don’t use the on-device library but instead are based in the cloud.)
As far as I get, they did indeed change the API, but they tend to remove rather than to add, as I read.
Anyhow: let’s hope on an exception
Do the check anew, who knows?!
Thank you, for your impeccable support!
Will look into it. Thanks!
