I start from a list of bullet points, with the first one bolded.
If I select all items from the list with the mouse, and select the highlighter tool, all the bullet points get highlighted and bolded.

Probably related : I selected a line of text that contains bolded and non-bolded text, and selected the highlight tool. The text got highlighted but all the bolded parts were switched to non-bolded. Agenda Mac 17.0.2
